Product Description

Drawers are French dovetail fronts and nailed and glued butt joints in the back. The drawer bottoms are recessed and inserted in a grove with 4 corners glude blacks.
Metal on metal center guides have nylon slided front and back and they are double screwed to the drawer back and fronts. Cabinets feature dust bottom panels and screws in bun feet.

Every journey begins with a single step. Our journey began in 1969 when Mr. Hoyl Priest founded Pioneer Furniture Manufacturing Company, Inc. in Charleston, Tennessee. Under the direction of Mr. Priest, the company, even in its humble beginnings, became known as a manufacturer of quality-upholstered furniture.

Mr. Priest focused on developing a well-established customer base, a dedicated staff and a quality product line. Before long, the company outgrew the Charleston facility and in 1976 moved to a new and much larger location in Athens, Tennessee, where it continues to operate today. The company continued to grow and prosper each year until eventually sold to a group of local investors in 1985.

In 1990, Mr. Priest and his management team purchased Pioneer Furniture Manufacturing Company, Inc. back from the investment group and changed the name to PFC, Inc. The new owners, consisting of Hoyl Priest, his son Patrick Priest, Steve Walker and Janice Hysell, started a revitalization program that integrated the old principals of craftsmanship with the latest technologies and equipment to create a new PFC/Pioneer.

Today, PFC/Pioneer is owned and operated by its staff, giving a hands-on approach to the operations and intricacies of the furniture industry. The management team, clearly motivated, maintains a staff of qualified and dedicated employees. They have a powerful management concept, recognizing that good performance is a journey, not a destination.

Our success story began with a simple theme - to make the best possible product at the best possible price. Today, even with much success and growth, we continue our theme. PFC/Pioneer has been in business for over 34 years with essentially the same management team and has earned its place as a major player in the furniture industry.
